Corona Crisis Response 2020 in Sri Lanka
Oslo Boys Foundation has selected 13 districts in Sri Lanka to respond to this crisis by providing dry rations packs and provided dry rations packs to 1,338 daily waged families, uncared elders, people with mental and physical disabilities and women headed families who are staying at home without any income which would have led them to starvation. This provided dry rations to approx. 4,000 people
People with mental and physical disabilities and other vulnerable people affected by crisis have been recognised to ensure that they receive assistance that is appropriate and relevant to their needs. Initial selection of poorest villages and number of beneficiaries from each village were selected by the Oslo Boys Foundation and the focal persons/ partners in the respective area in consultation with relevant Government Officers and community leaders and societies.
Ensured all our response were inclusive for people with disabilities, ethnic groups, religious and other forms of inter-community and also targeted Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim communities as needy.
